Turning to Allah for help in moments of hardship and uncertainty is one of the greatest acts of faith. In this article, we explore a profound dua that invokes the help of Allah, offering comfort and strength to those who recite it with sincerity in the morning and evening or at any time throughout the day.
What is the dua for the help of Allah?
The dua below is described in the hadith to seek the help of Allah for any kind of need. We can recite it once in the morning and once in the evening on a regular basis, or any time we need Allah’s help.
Yā Ḥayyu yā Qayyūmu biraḥmatika astaghīth, aṣlih lī sha nī kullah, wa lā takilnī ilā nafsī ṭarfata ‘ayn.
O Ever-Living One, O Eternal One, by Your mercy I call on You to set right all my affairs. Do not place me in charge of myself even for the blinking of an eye (i.e. a moment).
The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) lovingly advised his daughter, Fatimah, to recite this beautiful dua every morning and evening. (Sunan Kubra Nasai 10330)
